Auditions

Well, last night we auditioned for the casts of two one-act plays: The Bear by Anton Chekhov and No Way Out by Jean-Paul Sartre.

We are pleased to say that along with regular members, some new people turned up to join the society, adding a greater choice for the directors.

There were some nice surprises in the performances given at the audition, which only goes to show that even untried amateur actors can produce mesmerising performances, and it is wise to remain open-minded about the potential of both the actors involved and the characters available in any play.

Rehearsals will commence once the directors have cast the parts, which should be within the next week.

Go to http://www.hamdrams.co.uk from Monday 15 February to see the new site.

Looking forward to our next two productions:

No Way Out

by Jean Paul Sartre, translated by Frank Hauser.

The Bear

by Anton Chekhov, translated by Bernard Lawrence.

Both plays will be performed on May 21 and 22 2010 at the Arkenstall Centre in Haddenham. Tickets will be available from Haddenham Galleries.

More information will be posted here nearer the time.

Auditions will take place in the next couple of weeks, followed by several weeks of rehearsing.

Later in the year, we may do another Murder Mystery evening, complete with either a four course dinner or a buffet meal. Details are yet to be confirmed.

That's all for now, hope you enjoy the new website.
